Altar is a working studio dedicated to Electronic Dance Music that offers exclusive opportunities for you to train under professionals who work in the industry. Classes and workshops are small, consisting of less than 10 students or you can request private one to one sessions.
Equipped with the latest software and hardware ranging from classic samplers and synthesizers, through to boutique hardware, you have the chance to learn on both formats. This alongside EuroRack modular equipment and crate digging classes with over a 1,000 vinyl records to choose from, we have workshops and classes that not only inspire, but also help unleash your creativity.
Professional Tuition.
Altar studios is run by the team behind Dance Music Production, the longest running e-learning site for electronic music producers. We also authored the award winning industry standard textbook on the production of electronic music. Published via Routledge, The Dance Music Manual has been translated into numerous languages and is required reading at international institutions across the world, including Cambridge, Harvard and Yale.
We have recorded, mastered and produced music for artists signed to Armada, Spinnin’ Records, Hospital Records, Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, Future Sound of Egypt, Mau5trap, ToolRoom, Warner and Polydor.
